Egham, 3rd July 2008 The storage specialist Verbatim is launching its latest innovation onto the market: an External Hard Drive in 3.5 inch format with 640GB of memory at a competitive price. In the familiar sophisticated black design, this 3.5 inch HDD from Verbatim weighs less than a kilogram. The HDDs are available in stores now. Memory formats are growing larger and often more expensive as the capacity increases. As with Verbatims other 3.5 inch format Hard Drives, this model weighs a mere 961 grams and, with its black design, blends seamlessly as an Accessory at any workstation. With handy Plug & Play functionality, it can be used immediately, as no installation is required, and it comes with USB connectivity. The internal high-speed SATA hard disk delivers 5,400 rpm and guarantees convenient and reliable data storage with transfer speeds of up to 480 Mbit/s. The HDD requires no special cooling, since ventilation grilles on the back of the drive ensures the ideal operating temperature.
The package is rounded off with our free hotline support service and the Nero BackItUp 2 Essentials backup software for Windows.
