Following Verbatim’s spring unveiling of the advanced versions of its external hard drives, the storage specialist is now hitting the market with yet another new product. With its eSATA & USB combo HDDs, transfer speeds of up to 3Gbit/s are possible, allowing large volumes of data to be read and written in a matter of seconds. This is six times the speed of a USB 2.0 connection.

The lightweight external 3.5” hard drives, weighing less than 1kg, are available with capacities of 500GB or 1TB. The casings feature ventilation slits that allow for an extremely quiet operation by eliminating the need for special cooling fans. Thanks to their small footprint, the hard drives can fit comfortably on any desk, thereby also guaranteeing superlative mobility. Verbatim’s renowned service also comes standard with the eSATA HDDs: free hotline support offers users the same comfort and security as the data back-up software “Nero Back It Up 2 Essentials”, which allows data back-ups to be performed quickly and reliably. The cables required for the eSATA and USB 2.0 connection are also included in the scope of delivery, along with an AC power pack and a Quick Start Guide.
