Egham, 8th July 2009 Verbatim has added five new vibrant colours to its portable hard disk drive portfolio Sun kissed Yellow, Eucalyptus Green, Hot Pink, Caribbean Blue and Volcanic Orange helping consumers bring a designer look to their personal computing. All have 500 GB of storage capacity and are available in the shops now. Colour is a big trend in computing hardware at the moment, so whether people want to match their external hard drive with their new colour laptop or PC, or just want a portable hard drive that looks really fashionable, Verbatims new colour range will bring a splash of style to any computing space, said Kai Miroschnik, Business Development Manger HDD Verbatim EUMEA.
Weighing only 161 grams, the slim-line 2.5" hard disk drives are very portable - they sit comfortably in the palm of the hand, and fit neatly in any ladies handbag or mens jacket.
With 5,400 revolutions per minute, the external hard disks transfer data at up to 480Mbit/s via the same USB port that supplies the power, so no external power pack is required. The hard drives include Nero BackItUp 4 Essentials, software that enables users to regularly backup the files from their laptop or PC to their Verbatim portable hard drive, minimising the chance of valuable data being lost.
